Leg

Well M says my leg is no better so the weekend is not looking good.
It also means that M is trying to keep me rested hahaha as exercise makes it open up again.

So here are more piccies....

D was off work yesterday so I spent the day at the yard with him. I was a good boy and didnt wander too far...

M & D took me to park last night and we had great fun but my leg started to hurt a bit so they took me home for a rest. M found some more grit in it so gave it another clean and it bled again....

The weekend

I am loving this sunshine I just hope it lasts...

M found the paddling pool and set it up for me so I could cool off - which is great cause I could swim alll day!

Sunday I headed off in the car with M to where they set up the agility stuff. I was really excited cause all my friends were there and I even had a chance to meet up with Bramble (another one like me) she's lovely ;-)

Unfortunately whilst I was off having a wander (well more of a crash) through the wood with Bramble I managed to cut my leg quite badly. I didnt notice but M said it was bleeding a lot, so thankfully Anne our friend is a vet so she cleaned me up (I was smelly from a bog) and bandaged my leg. I gave her lots of licks for doing this xx

Problem was the humans wouldnt let me run the agility course then because it was going to be a demonstration and we were worried people might think I was really hurt with a big bandage on and think my M was being cruel.

M did let me jump a couple of jumps and run through the tunnels a few times when no one was looking but I had to stay nice and quiet other than that. I was not amused when she got to take someone elses dog Todd round the course instead.. humph!

M took lots of photo's to show all the different dogs that can do agility, although she managed to miss Maz the boxer! I post the photos when I've got no news....

Yippeee lovely walkies in the sun and agility tonight

Tuesday was a bit boring cause D worked inside so that he wouldn't get sun burnt which meant I had to too!

Monday sun

SUNSHINE!!! I'm lovin this... I had a wonderful day all to myself lazin in the sun till M came home from work.

she was trying 'send aways' again - I think I get what shes trying to do but I dont really care, its the treats I LOVE.

She is being very cheeky though she's training me with my dinner - so i'm not getting extra treats... what a swiz!

Bunnies

I caught a bunny - M should have been proud, but she wasn't I got a good telling off and M was very upset!

I did make it up to her with being on my best behaviour at agility training on Sunday though, and got to laze around in the sunshine (actual sun and no rain) it was wonderful. 

My human friend George was training M so that we can get better at this agility business but I don't think she was impressed when he told her that she needed to run faster hahahaha....

Bad Weather

The rubbish weather has continued since the weekend.

I haven't been out on a nice walk all week - every time I go outside I'm either blown off my feet or I get soaked. Now I know I like water but I also like a bit of sunbathing every so often too.

and agility keeps getting moved - its a good job I don't need a routine isn't it! Hopefully we're on tonight though if the weather stays ok.

Another Trial

So the weekend then...
Saturday I spent with M gardening, well I was sunbathing cause it was lovely weather!

Sunday D was off work so took me to another gundog day :-) There's never any guns though?
Anyway far more tricky this time and no piccies cause they had set up barriers so other people couldn't get in the way.

So again there were 4 exercises but D only let me do 2 - one was retrieving from a loch which I did but not directly (i was trying to find an easy way into the water) and the other was retrieving one dummy when two were thrown.

The 2 that D didn't let me try were - 1) being sent to a post (i haven't done send away's yet) and then being sent left to collect a dummy, being sent out to the post again and then going right for a dummy

and 2) clearing a straw bale into a field to collect a dummy without being distracted by the fake rabbit! apparently even the excellent dogs couldn't resist the rabbit (i'm not surprised)

So this week i've looked up on the internet how to train M & D to send me away to a post, and how to get them understanding left & right, and we've been practicing every night after M & D get home.

As the trials get hard as the season goes on don't think we'll be winning any prizes but its interesting and great fun!

Another day

A day at the yard with D today but not allowed to wander and ....

Merlin's broke his toe, so he's not allowed to play at the moment. I didn't even get to see how he was, poor lad I remember what it was like when I broke my leg I was sooooo bored!

 

Well behind

I seem to have missed a few days of blogging, due to a very busy weekend...
the last few days of last week were well, normal - usual agility class and it was nice weather - no down pours or gusts of wind, which meant we trained till almost 9pm!

On friday we had visitors, now we dont get many visitors and 1 of these was especially strange...she was about twice my height but not grown up at all! She was great fun though and I could pull my tuggie off her which I cant do with M & D these days...

I would put a piccy here of us playing but again M failed to take any..

They stayed all weekend and I got to play lots, so much that a slept all day yesterday...

M is not happy - I'm losing hair! I'm not happy about it either cause I cant work out whether its hot or cold at the moment with the wind, rain and bright sunshine?!
She brushed me twice yesterday and then later gave me a tummy tickle (i do like those) and all this fell out just from tickling my tummy... where does it all come from?

 

Dull

This weekend M built a wall..... yep in MY garden.
I was trying to get her to play with me and she kept tell me off and taking my toys off me.... not happy.
Then she put come sand and stones and water together I tried to help with the mixing cause it looked FUN but she sent me inside and told me not to come back out humph!! and it was nice weather for a change...
after a couple of hours she finally let me out and what do you know theres a new wall - interesting but shes taken away the spot where i dig and it all smells a bit funny. I decided to leave it and investigate again when M & D are not around.

M took me to the loch.. (a scottish lake) cause I havent played in water for ages... and she was doing some retrievin with me too, I'm getting good a finding things... a bit of a shame for M her wellies werent waterproof hehehe!


I got a good hose down afterwards so I didnt stink of fish and then went to play with Wispa.
Sunday we all went to the yard as normal but I wasnt allowed to wander.. instead I helped M hoover the car and pump up the tyres, and then lay on the camo net D was trying to fold... (it was very comfy)
A trip to the supermarket (i had to stay in the car) and then home to my bed Zzzzz.
